Individual Training Accounts

Minimum WIOA Eligibility to Apply: 

• In need of training to provide you with the skills for an In-Demand occupation.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• If male, compliant with the selective service registration requirements. 
• Resident of Chemung, Schuyler, or Steuben Counties. 
• Unemployed or employed but earning wages below self-sufficiency. 
• You must work with a CSS WFNY Career Counselor to complete an orientation. Email:  info@csswfny.com

Training programs that lead to specific occupations are the only ones receiving approval for local funding. For the updated Local Demand Occupation list, please click here.

Only specific training providers are authorized to offer this training, and they are listed on the New York State Department of Labor Eligible Training Provider List.

To be eligible for grant funding, your application must undergo the approval process. Grant requests are evaluated on a monthly basis; for the latest review schedule, please refer to the 2026 ITA Review calendar
