CSS-WFNY is a workforce development organization dedicated to assisting individuals with greater employment opportunities, and therefore providing businesses with an adequate labor pool. We are committed to assisting individuals within our community as they search for career opportunities, continue their education or begin vocational training. Our services are available to businesses and job seekers of all ages. We offer a variety of programs including workshops, resume building and training opportunities. Our Youth Services Navigators are committed to serving the needs of our Emerging Workforce between the ages of 16-24.
CSSWFNY seeks to competitively procure innovative approaches to year-round Youth, Adult and Dislocated Worker Program Services with this contract position that will provide counseling, case management and a comprehensive array of services to eligible participants in the three-County region. PY14 Local Strategic Plan
The Chemung-Schuyler-Steuben Workforce New York (CSS WFNY) announces the Local Plan for Program Year 14 (7/1/14 – 6/30/15) is available for review by clicking on the main document and on the attachments. The Local Plan will be posted for comments from September 12, 2014 to October 13, 2014.

ATTENTION VETERANS On April 10, 2014, United State Department of Labor issued guidance to refocus the efforts of our NYS Department of Labor DVOP Specialists (Veteran's Representatives) to focus on the most in need Veterans. Beginning in February 2015 they will focus their services on Veterans who are:
18-24/yrs. old OR have a significant barrier to employment from the following list:
- Service Related Disability
- Recently Separated Service Member (any eligible veteran discharged or released from active duty in the last 3 years, who has been unemployed 27 or more weeks in the last 12 months)
- Offender (any eligible veteran or eligible spouse who is currently incarcerated or who has been released from incarceration)
- Lack of a H.S. Diploma
- Homeless or Low-Income
You may be asked to complete determination paperwork. If you did not qualify to meet with one of our DVOP Specialists, you will still continue to receive priority of service and will meet with our Labor Service Staff.

CSS WFNY Offers FREE On-Line Learning
Whether you are an individual customer or a business seeking opportunities for staff development, Metrix On-line Learning is available through CSS Workforce NY. Residents of Chemung, Schuyler & Steuben may apply by visiting any of our 5 local Career Centers. Metrix was designed to meet the current and emerging training service delivery needs of Workforce Investment Boards (WIBs) and their customers (unemployed, under-employed and dislocated workers) that require new skills, enhanced skills, and certification training programs to prepare them for new employment opportunities. For your convenience the forms are below so you may complete them in advance of your appointment with a counselor.
